Converting Experience

When you have an accumulated amount of Elite Experience (XP earned in Premiums and tanks that have achieved Elite Status), you can convert that experience to Free Experience. Once it becomes Free Experience, you can spend that experience on anything you like.

 

During the first few years I played the game, I always saved up enough Elite XP to purchase my tanks and their modules. Once I had the amount needed, I would purchase gold and use it to convert the XP from one form to another, and then buy the tank I wanted.

 

The standard transfer rate is 1 gold per 25 experience. That means if you want to transfer 25,000 Elite XP into Free XP, you will need to spend 1,000 gold.

 

Every once in a while, there will be a discount on converting experience. Actually, there will be two types of discounts. One will be at 35 experience per 1 gold, and the other will be at 40 experience per 1 gold. Back when I was paying to convert Elite XP, I always waited for the weekends where the transfer rate was 40 to 1.

 

These days, I’m a completely different type of player than my newbie days in WOT. I’m no longer in a hurry to complete anything in the game. I take my time earning experience and grind my way through modules and to researching the next tank in the tech tree. One area of the game where I don’t mind spending money is when it comes to transferring a well-trained crew from one tank to another (moving a crew from one tank to another without losing experience always costs gold).

 

The bottom line when it comes to converting Elite XP to Free XP is it’s YOUR MONEY. Do whatever you like with it. If you want to save your Elite XP for many months and then spend $100 to convert it to Free XP so you can buy that next tank in the tech tree, then do it. Not everyone can spend money as they please in this game, but there are certainly some who can spend as much as they wish and it won’t affect their personal finances in the slightest.
